Advanced Computing Core

The Advanced Computing research unit located within the CAST pursues research on information processing systems through the generation of advanced computing algorithms, exploring and exploiting interesting connections between multiple domains (health, biology, climate change, etc.).

In particular, it develops applications on machine learning in the field of health and applications aimed at virtualization of environments in the field of mixed reality for precision surgery environments.

  • Dell data storage (10 HDs of 2.4TB 10K RPM SAS, 10 HDs of 8TB 7.2K RPM SAS expandable up to a maximum of 3 PB)
  • DELL compute node with 2 GPUs (NVIDIA Ampere A100, PCle, 300W, 80GB Passive, Double Wide)
