New publication of Paola Patrignani, PI of SpaTT Lab, and her research group on the development of a novel direct biomarker of aspirin action consisted of assessing the extent of acetylation of COX-2 in cellular systems and tissue biopsies by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. This assay will be used in an international research project funded by Cancer Research UK and in other international collaborations to clarify the mechanism of action and the right dose of aspirin as an anticancer agent.
